Pre Wedding PreparationsBelow I have listed some of the most effective things you can do to really help improve your appearance for your big day.Moisturise
This is an absolute must above all else! Moisturising your skin every morning and night will help to keep dry skin at bay, improve skin tone and texture and minimise any fine lines and wrinkles., sound good? If you do not suffer from dry skin, or in fact have the opposite and your skin is naturally oily, you still need to moisturise too! However, you may find that a lighter, more water based, moisturiser works better for you.A great tip for dry lips - smooth over a layer of vaseline and using a toothbrush gently buff the skin on your lips in small circular motions to remove any dead flaky skin. Wipe your lips clean and then reapply another layer. Facials
Particularly if you want to prepare your skin for your wedding day make up or special occasion, having a facial including a deep cleanse, exfoliation, face mask and moisturiser will do wonders for you! Please note that facials can tend to draw out impurities in the skin, so make sure that you do not have a facial up to a week before your wedding day.Eyelash and Brow Tint
I often advise clients who I am doing wedding make-up for to get their eyelashes tinted.. This dyes each of your eyelashes black to the root and really helps to open and define the eyes. For a cheaper alternative there are eyelash and brow dye kits available if you feel happy to do this at home or you could book in to a local beauty salon to have this treatment done.
Do Not Over Pluck
A common mistake by most people but overplucking your eyebrows is never a flattering look.. If you feel that your eyebrows are thin and sparse from overplucking then clever eyebrow makeup can be applied to make them appear more defined or thicker, but in an ideal world, it would be best to try growing them back a bit! If you are unsure how to pluck your brows into a flattering shape for you then I would strongly advise to go and get a professional to do it for you.
Whiten Your Smile
What could be better than a big clean white smile for your photographs.. a quick trip to a dental hygenist and follow up with a whitening treatment or toothpaste will improve the appearance of your teeth and whiten your smile for your day.
Drink Up
Drink water, water, water.... it hydrates your skin from the inside and helps your body to flush out toxins along with many other health benefits. Aiming to drink 2 litres a day on top of any other type of drinks will ensure that you are getting enough daily hydration.
Eat Well
Try to eat as much fruit and vegetables as you can each day.. This will no doubt improve your digestion and health, which visibally shows through in your skin and bright eyes! Get Active
20 to 30 minutes a day of brisk walking or jogging is what is advised to keep your body fit and healthy. This will oxygenate the body, give skin that healthy glow and help to reduce dark tired eyes and skin. Exercise has also been proven time and time again to help reduce stress levels especially round the time of a wedding!
De-Stress
One of the most important parts of well-being... Make sure you regularly de-stress your body and mind. Treat yourself to your favourite bubble bath or oil, get some scented candles and relaxing music and just let yourself truly relax.
